Ammodo has released three new short science documentaries about malaria researcher Teun Bousema, Arabist and Islamic scholar Christian Lange and ethical philosopher Tamar Sharon. All three of these scientists have won an Ammodo Science Award in the past.
The three short films, ranging from 17 to 20 minutes and part of the Ammodo Docs series, have seen their world premiere at InScience Film Festival Nijmegen on 13 March 2025 and were broadcast on Dutch national television on digital channel NPO 2 Extra on 23 March 2025. All three films can be watched on this website and on the Ammodo Docs YouTube channel.

Ammodo Docs is an ongoing series of artistic short documentaries showcasing the work of groundbreaking scientists and artists. Launched in 2023, the series presents 15-minute films that challenge viewers to see the world through the eyes of pioneers in their field.
Ammodo connects these scientists and artists with Dutch documentary filmmakers — both established names and emerging talents — who bring their subjects to life in surprising and insightful ways.
Since its inception, Ammodo Docs has released fourteen short films, which have been shown on Dutch public television, online platforms, international festivals, and in (inter)national museums and institutions. Some of these films have won awards. All are available worldwide on ammododocs.org and YouTube.
